The team at Starry Starry Nights is made up of dedicated professionals who share a love for wildlife, conservation, and unforgettable travel experiences. Each team member brings unique expertise and a personal commitment to making every safari extraordinary.
Conrad was born in Johannesburg South Africa. He has always had a passion for all things biological and the outdoors; with the family moving the Kwa-Zulu-Natal Battlefields, he soon realized that there was much to be learned from a natural history of the Biggars – and Drakensberg mountain ranges. After matriculation, Conrad studied a postgraduate degree in Zoology on marine intertidal invertebrate ecology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermaritzburg. However, scientific methodology was not to tie him down and he joined Wilderness Safaris is 1994 and was sent to all manner of southern African countries to start up lodges and run operations and safaris.
He has spent the last 30 years leading expeditions and safaris over the entire African continent, to all ends and still to this day recommends at least one month annually in that great continent, the continent where we all evolved from – Africa. He has also contributed and led polar expeditions to both ends of the planet for the last 18 years for various expedition cruise companies. Over the years Conrad also explored much of the Indian Ocean, both above and below the waters and has been privileged to have visited some of the world’s most remote atolls and islands.
He has his own specialist safari company, Starry Starry Nights, in Johannesburg, where all the nature stuff started…
