From deep, isolated rainforest, to the seriously strange deciduous forest on the Mozambique Channel; from the high altitude forest of the highlands, to the patches of unique forest on the northern tip. Nearly eighty percent of its species exist nowhere else on earth. Twelve thousand species of plants and 45 percent of its 270 bird species are endemic.
